This video exercise below is based upon Psalm 62. A moderator speaks the prayer. You repeat the prayer language as you listen. It starts out with, "Yes my soul, find your rest in God. Wait quietly before Him." Challenge yourself to do the exercise 5 times. Repetition will help you digest the promises, hide the truth in your heart, and inspire your prayer language going forward! Practice telling your soul to find rest in God! Blessings!
In the prayer exercise below, you read along while watching and listening to a cool stream of water melt the ice above. There is no voice of a moderator. Follow the prompts as they invite you to prayer and ask God, "Lord bring my soul into quiet submission." Practice speaking this language in prayer and reminding your soul to wait quietly before God.
It can be challenging to hold on to hope. God defines hope as a cord of attachment, one of expectancy. Be challenged to ponder where your cords of hope are attached. God's hope does not disappoint, because His love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. who has been given to us through Christ.
This video is contemplative in nature. Let your senses be engaged in the wonder of God's creation. Swans are building nests, ducks are neighbors, and song birds are in flight. Feel the breeze. Notice the hectic world just beyond this quiet little cove of beauty. What is hectic for you right now? Ask God to intervene with His peace. Practice seeing the divine power of God in His creation.
Are you restless in mind and emotion? Talk to the Prince of Peace. He does not give as the world gives. Unburden your heart.
